Create your Asset Structure

Overview

A typical asset structure in TilliT is Site -> (Line of Area) -> Equipment. But knowing the potential user's requirement of nested asset hierarchy, TilliT DO also provided an additional layer for the "Area" asset definition to address the complexities.

Note, an asset should be created when:

  • You measure progress, availability, and performance.
  • You are assigning tasks against a physical area

Create an Asset

To create an Asset, go to Settings > Asset Hierarchy > Assets:

Click theActions > Create button; this will open a new pop-up config window:

In the Create Material pop-up screen, complete the following;

  • ID - generated by TilliT. This cannot be changed.
  • Name - this is the text name of the material.
  • Calendar (optional) - sets the calendar of shift templates for this asset.
  • Asset Class - sets the class/group for this asset (mostly used when setting Where activities are triggered).
  • Parent (optional) - sets the parent asset. Often used to nest assets under a Line. For example, The parent of Filler 1 could be Line 1.
  • UoM (optional) - sets the Unit of Measure used on this asset.
  • Site - sets the asset's site location. You must have at least 1 site in TilliT, but this is most useful when you have multiple sites.
  • Display Order (optional) - sets the order in which the asset is displayed in the UI.
  • Default Run Rate (optional) - the regular running rate of this asset.
  • Type (optional) - sets the type of asset. Choose between:
    • Area - an area of the site (e.g. dough prep, cooling station, etc).
    • Line - a production line. Often used as a parent to other assets (e.g. Line 1 - parent to Filler 1 and Labeller 1).
    • Equipment - a specific piece of equipment (e.g. Filler 1 or Labeller 1).
  • Packml (optional)
  • Allow Multiple Orders (optional) - if unticked, the asset can only run a single order at any time. If ticked, multiple orders can run on it.
  • Active (optional) - as an alternative to deleting, you can enable or disable and asset.

Click theSave and close button to finalise.

When setting up your assets, you will also have a chance of setting Attributes and Tolerances.
