Event Type

Overview

You can use Events in TilliT to trigger activities. There are 5 categories of Events:

• Equipment
• Order
• Activity
• Shift
• Custom

Apart from Custom, all these events come pre-configured in TilliT for you to use as you see fit. For more details on those, see Activity Template - When.

Creating Custom Events

You may want to use a custom event, especially if you are using a TilliT Edge device where you can trigger events using data from your operations.

First, go to Settings > Configuration > Event Type:

Click Actions > Create; A pop-up will be presented:

You must enter a Name and a Priority (numerical):

• ID - generated by TilliT. Cannot be changed.
• Name - name of the event.
• Closing Event (optional) - select an event that, when started, closes this event.
• Subtitle (optional) - a description of the event
• Priority - the numerical priority of the event
• Display Order (optional) - the order in which the event is shown throughout the UI
• System Event (optional) - tie your custom event to a TilliT system event.

Click Save and close to finalise.

This event is now available as a trigger for activities and closing events.
