Material Component (Recipe, or Bill of Materials)
The Material Component definition is similar to the Bill of Material (BOM) definition. Here, all the relevant materials that are needed to produce the SKU or WIP material are essentially listed/defined.
You only need to create Material Components on a material you are producing.
Creating a Material Component
First you must Create a Material you wish to use as a component (i.e. consume). This is done the same way you would define any material in TilliT (see Creating a Material). When defining this material, you must click Can Consume. Also, take note of the External ID of the material(s) you wish to consume:
Next, go to the material, you wish to add the component(s) to. Make sure the Material is set to Can Produce:
Scroll down to the Material Component tab, click Actions > Create
You will be presented with a pop up. You will need to select the External ID, of the Material you wish to use as a Component, from the drop-down list. Next you'll need to set the Target quantity of the component used to create your produced material. Once you've set those, click Save and close:
You can now use the Material Component element and the Repeat for each component toggle in Activity Templates.
