Asset Class

The Asset Class groups multiple assets into one classification. The grouping is usually based on the functional capability of an asset. For example, if you have three filling machines (one on each of your three production Lines), you can group them all under the asset class of Fillers.

Once set, you can use this class to assign an Asset Class to an activity in the Where clause.

Creating an Asset Class

To create the Asset Class definition, go to Settings > Asset Hierarchy > Asset Class:

ClickActions > Create. You will be presented with a pop-up:

Give the Asset Class a Name, then clickSave and close.

The Asset Class is now available in the Where clause in activity templates.

Next: Shift Templates
